If you choose to subscribe to our free email newsletter we collect your email address. We use this information to service your account, verify your identity, process transactions, enhance our services, manage our legal and operational affairs and answer questions you may have.

Information Storage

We generally store information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. Payment information will be stored for six (6) years for tax and accounting purposes in case you purchase anything via this website. This includes your name and email address of some which might be transferred to offline records for security reasons.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who on our team has access?

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, Administrators and Site Managers can access:

  • Payment information like when you made a donation and what amount you donated;
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill transacions and support you.

When and why do we share Personal Information with third parties?

Personal information may be shared with third parties to prevent, investigate, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service or any other agreement related to the Services, or as otherwise required by law.

Personal information may also be shared with a company that acquires our business, whether through merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, or other similar transaction or proceeding. It may also be shared with our professional advisors (lawyers, accountants etc) or with regulators and government authorities.

Email Enquiries

When you email or write to us then we retain that email or letter to allow sufficient time for your query to be dealt with. Once the matter has been concluded, emails and letters will be kept as long as required to keep proof for legal requirements and will be delete afterwards.

What do we do with your Personal Information when you terminate your relationship with us?

If an account remains inactive for one hundred and eighty (180) days then we may delete it from our system unless you contact us and request otherwise. You may also close the account you have with us at any time. To make an access, correction or closure request, please contact us using the contact details at the end of this policy.

We may also keep three (3) years rolling backups and log files of our systems (server logs and download logs) after which time they are deleted.

We will continue to store archived copies of your previous financial transactions for legitimate business purposes only and for a period of six (6) years to comply with our legal and financial requirements.

Note that any pending, failed or cancelled transactions are automatically deleted after a maximum of thirty (30) day period. Copies of these orders, because they have failed to be processed, are not stored beyond this thirty (30) day period.

What we don’t do with your personal information

We do not share, disclose, sell, rent, or otherwise provide personal information to other companies for the marketing of their own products or services.

We do not use the personal information we collect from you or your customers to contact or market to your customers or directly compete with you. However, RTNworld Academy of Arts and Cultures / RTNlist may contact or market to your customers if we obtain their information from another source, such as from the customers themselves.



If you subscribe to the newsletter, the data input to the form will be transmitted to the person responsible for processing. Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration, you will receive an e-mail in which you will be asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can register on behalf of someone else’s e-mail address. When registering for the newsletter, the IP address of the user and the date and time of registration are saved. This serves to prevent misuse of the services or the e-mail address of the person concerned. The data will not be passed on to third parties. There is an exception if there is a legal obligation to pass it on. The data will only be used to send the newsletter or notification. The subscription to the newsletter and the notification can be revoked at any time. Likewise, the consent to the storage of personal data can be revoked at any time. For this purpose, there is a corresponding link in every newsletter and notification. The legal basis for processing the data after the user has registered for the newsletter is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR if the user has given their consent.

Contact Form 7 is a service of Form creation and management that allows this website to integrate those contents within its own pages. Personal data collected: email and name. Different kinds of data as specified in the Privacy Policy of the service.


These services permit to manage a database of email contacts, telephone contacts or contacts of any other type, used to communicate with the user. Description and purpose: The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored on servers in the EU or country you selected in the registration process. If you do not wish to have your data analyzed by RTNworld Academy of Arts, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. email addresses in the members’ area) remain unaffected.

Revocation option: You have the option to revoke your consent to data processing at any time with effect for the future. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.


How do we keep your personal information secure?

While no online service is 100% secure, we work very hard to protect information about you against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction, and take reasonable measures to do so, such as monitoring our Services for potential vulnerabilities and attacks.

We follow industry standards on information security management to safeguard sensitive information, such as financial information, intellectual property and any other Personal Information entrusted to us. All personal information is stored in secure off site ‘zero knowledge’ locations. Our information security systems apply to people, processes and information technology systems on a risk management basis.

In the event of a data breach we shall inform you and the relevant authorities as soon as we become aware of it.

Access to your personal information

You retain all rights to your personal information and can access it anytime. In addition, RTNworld Academy of Arts and Cultures / takes reasonable steps to allow you to correct or amend personal information that is shown to be inaccurate or incomplete. You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data from your account we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

You also have the right to be forgotten. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Data Access 

We, the website operator or website provider, collect data about access to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (see Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDRP) and save these as “server log files” on the website server. The following data is logged in this way:

  • Source/reference from which you came to the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. B. to be able to clarify cases of abuse. If data has to be kept for reasons of proof, they are excluded from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified.


Collection and processing of personal data

The website operator only collects, uses and passes on your personal data if this is permitted by law or if you consent to the collection of data.

If the goods are delivered by the transport service provider DHL (DHL Paket GmbH, Sträßchensweg 10, 53113 Bonn), we will provide your e-mail address in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR before the goods are delivered for the purpose of coordination of a delivery date or delivery notification to DHL, provided that you have given your express consent to this during the ordering process. Otherwise, we will only pass on the name of the recipient and the delivery address to DHL for the purpose of delivery in accordance with Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The data will only be passed on if this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. In this case, prior coordination of the delivery date with DHL or the delivery notification is not possible.

Use of payment service providers (payment services)

When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – “purchase on account” or “payment by installments” via PayPal, we pass on your payment data to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter “PayPal”), further.
